Review:
The MC gets thrown into a world that’s like 3 to 4 times bigger than Earth. Civilization there has apparently crashed and restarted who knows how many times, but nobody really knows that. Underneath it all is something called the Inner World, full of terrifying monsters and a creepy race called the Black Blood. They eat literally anything alive, humans included.
The MC has a unique modifier that lets him dump points into any skill and level up super fast. Right now, the only way he gets points is by devouring creatures connected to the Inner World, though it seems like any extraordinary creature works.
He’s not a good guy. Petty, cold, and kinda twisted. He’ll kill over small things and doesn’t really feel bad about it. Power is all he cares about. No heroine, no real friendships. If someone’s around, he’s probably just figuring out how to use them. He’s reckless as hell and mostly survives off plot armor, with just barely enough common sense to scrape by.
The worldbuilding comes in slowly, piece by piece, showing how messed up and mysterious this place really is. The whole Black Blood thing is just the first arc. After that, he moves on to the Sumeru Sea, a crazy region filled with endless worlds. That’s where he starts sending out his essence to different worlds, climbing to the top in each one, then moving on to the next.
It’s a story that hops through worlds, kind of like Mysterious Journey, which I really liked by the way. Would recommend it, but keep your expectations in check.
